DeRoo finished second with a record setting time of 16:35.61, just 0.38 of a second behind Melissa Newberry of Princeton. DeRoo’s time qualified her for the ECAC championships and broke her own school record time of 17:07.15 set two-weeks ago at the Carolina Spring Break Classic. DeRoo now ranks 18th in the Eastern Region and 35th in the nation.
