Breneman was voted Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week after passing for 222 yards and accounting for four touchdowns in Colgate's 45-7 thumping of the Crusaders. He also picked up the league's offensive award by College Sports Madness and national freshman honorable mention by STATS FCS.
 
Over his last five games, Breneman has thrown 11 touchdowns against zero interceptions and also run in another four TDs. He has 12 touchdown passes for the season. Breneman also just completed his sixth straight game without an interception, covering 154 pass attempts.
