Defensive back Ben Hunt led all defenders with two tackles-for-loss among a career-high nine stops as Colgate knocked off No. 23 Cal Poly 20-14 to open the college football season Saturday night. Hunt also caused a fumble that he recovered, setting up Colgate's first touchdown of the game five plays later. Colgate's defense held the four-time defending NCAA rushing leaders to 210 yards on the ground, more than 130 yards below their 2016 average of 343.5.
