Newcomer Lauren Hyland made quite the first impression in her collegiate debut, capturing the A Singles draw and teaming up with senior Jennifer Ho to win the A Doubles flight at the Bucknell Quad Tournament last weekend.

In singles play, Hyland aptured the A Singles title, opening the flight with a 6-1, 3-6, (10-5) victory over IUP's Rachel Gonzalez before eliminating Bucknell's Madddie Melch (6-4, 6-4) and Maria Cioffi (7-6, 6-0) to advance to the championship match. In the title match, Hyland rallied to defeat Concordia's Costanza Mecchi, 6-7, 6-3, (10-5).

Doubles play saw Hyland and Ho claim the A Doubles flight with wins over Concordia's Tegtmeier and Conze (8-6), Bucknell's Jouravieva and Pino (8-4) and Concordia's Mecchi and Huang (Default).
