Sherman-Newsome was a key factor in both of the Raiders games this past week. He started out by tying his career-high 4 assists in a nail-biting loss to Fordham on Tuesday where he also posted 14 points. He went 4-of-6 from downtown and hit a clutch trey with 1:20 remaining to give Colgate a 2 pt advantage. Unfortunately the Raiders were unable to hold onto the lead but his game-high 4 assists helped three other Colgate players reach doublefigures. Sherman-Newsome followed that performance up with his sixth double-figure game this season in a victory at Albany on Saturday. In another tight game, his and-1 with 8 minutes remaining in the game sparked a Raider run in which they hit 4 consecutive 3-pointers to ultimately secure their win. He drained one of those four. He also added two good makes from the charity stripe in the final minutes of play to create a 9-point cushion between the teams.
