Eric Mihalik earned the series win over Rensselaer and became the first rookie netminder to win a playoffs series in 16 years. He posted a 2-1 record with a 2.00 goals against average and a .929 save percentage. He made 92 saves on 97 shots during the three games and stopped a career-high 40 shots in the double-overtime win to take the series.
