FROM THE SOURCE
On the men's performance, head coach Bobby Pennington said:
"A tough opener for the boys after a long year layoff on all fronts. Credit to Monmouth as they are a big, physical, athletic team who wins their league and goes to the NCAA Tournament. Game ball to
Jack Selati for beating their No. 2 in a super-breaker.
"We have an eight-week season left and need to maximize every practice and rep. Our guys need to get stronger, have more endurance and be more match tough. Quinnipiac is an excellent, well-coached ball club and we need to be mentally and physically ready."
