HAMILTON - The Colgate Department of Athletics is sell
ing blocks from the original Cotterell Court. The entire wood floor in Cotterell Court was replaced in the summer of 2016, giving the basketball and volleyball programs a completely new floor for the first time since the building's opening.
The original Cotterell Court was dedicated on Dec. 3, 1966 to Wesley M. Cotterell '19, a two-time letterwinner and Trustee at Colgate University.
Cotterell Court has seen many great teams and players on its surface, including the 1994-95 men's basketball Patriot League Championship won by Colgate in addition to a pair of volleyball championships won in Hamilton in 1996 and 2012.
Memorable players for the Raiders to step foot on this hardwood include Adonal Foyle '98, Vicky Chun '91, MA '94, Tucker Neale '95, Pat Compolieta '02, Sarah Cashman '83, Jen Smith '95, Suzanne Bowen '91, Autumn MacKenzie '97 and Judy Culhane '00.
