Colgate University Athletics

Sam Amukun came to the Colgate campus from his native country of Uganda. At Colgate, he was the IC4A 100-yard dash champion in 1964 and runner-up in the 220-yard dash in 1964 and 1965. In 1964, he represented Colgate in the NCAA Championships. The 1964-65 Colgate track captain represented Uganda in the 1960 and 1964 Olympic Games and in the 1958 Commonwealth Games.
