Olav Kollevoll played three different sports at Colgate and totaled six varsity letters. He was a two-time letterwinner in the sport of ice hockey as he captained the team during the 1943-44 season. He was a threetime letterwinner in baseball and captained the team in the summer of 1943. He lettered once in football. Olav went on to serve as head hockey coach at Colgate from 1957-65 where he amassed an 82-65-2 record and coached a pair of ECAC playoff teams. He also served as an assistant football coach and freshman baseball coach at Colgate from 1955-62. Following his coaching career, Olav served as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Athletics under Everett Barnes. Kollevoll, the 1968 recipient of Colgate’s Silver Puck Award, was a catcher in the old Boston Braves organization until joining the hockey coaching staff at St. Lawrence in 1948. He concluded his career as the Athletic Director at Lafayette College.
