Marty Erb served the Colgate athletic department in the sports medicine program for 35 years between 1973-2008. As the Coordinator for Sports Medicine Services, he was honored for his exemplary dedication and devotion to the welfare of Colgate’s student athletes. He is a past president of the New York State Athletic Trainers’ Association, and served as chair of the NYSATA Hall of Fame Committee. In addition, he served as a member of the New York State Committee on Athletic Trainers, a subcommittee of the State Board of Medicine. Erb is a past recipient of a Maroon Citation given to him by the Colgate Alumni Corporation for his record of service to the university. In 2001, he was named Outstanding Athletic Trainer by the All-American Football Foundation and in 2003, he was presented with New York State Athletic Trainers’ Association’s highest honor, the Thomas J. Sheehan Sr. Award.
