Ellery Huntington was one of the top quarterbacks in the single wing era. He was the first Colgate player ever named to Walter Camp’s AllAmerica team in 1913, and also named All-America on the Grantland Rice All-America team the same year. He also is a member of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame. Huntington returned to Colgate to serve as head coach of the Red Raiders in 1920 and 1921 and establish the foundation for the great teams of the 20’s.
